Never tie overhand knots or stopper knots in your ropes as chafe hose stoppers – this weakens the ropes integral strength significantly.

When customizing your Ezi Ropes with the heat shrink provided, care must be taken that the strands don’t unravel when cutting polyester rope. Ends should be taped prior to cutting and the strands should be melted together using ample heat.

Ask your Marina operator about how you can rig your outer pole rope so that it does not sit in the water when your berth is empty. They may rig a ‘Pick Up’ retrieval pulley for you.

Fitting anti-chafe hose to your Ezi Ropes where they pass over the rail or through a fairlead will prolong their lifespan significantly. Anti-chafe hose can be secured in place with thin lashing, as shown below.
